One of the biggest problems in piercing is aftercare.
Proper aftercare procedure must be followed for a happy healing process. Today we will discuss navel piercing aftercare and the Various methods that can be used.

After you get pierced, your piercer will instruct you how to properly clean your piercing.Listen, ask questions and get the name of the piercer  so you can call if you have further questions.

Here are some easy aftercare steps for navel piercing. This should be done 2 times a day and can be done in the shower. Use a mild anti-bacterial soap with no fragrance.

1) Wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap.
2) Wash and lather your navel to remove crust & dirt from the piercing. Do not twist, rotate or remove the piercing. This will only force crust into the hole.
3)Rinse with water really well to make sure there is no soap residue.
4) Pat dry with a clean towel.

Sea Salt Soaks

Sea salt soaks are another great way to clean your navel piercing. There are many aftercare products with sea salt, and this is a great way to save money and make your own at home. Sea salt is natures healer, this can also be used on irritated navels.

1)Wash your hands with anti-bacterial soap.
2)Prepare a sea salt solution to the exact recipie.
2)Fill a small  clean cup with an opening roughly the size of your navel. ( a shotglass workd great)
3) Fully saturate your piercing in the solution by tipping the shotglass over your piercing and holding it there for 10 minuites. This will remove crust and dirt. Do not twist or remove your piercing.
4)Rinse really well to remove any excess solution.
5)Pat dry with a clean towel.

If proper aftercare is followed your navel piercing should heal happy and healthy!
